Fostering Education
A Fun and Engaging Literacy Program
Students engage in a dynamic and engaging two-hour Literacy program each day. The program is designed to be student-centered, gradually releasing responsibility to help students build confidence and independence in their literacy skills. This includes differentiated tasks in reading, writing, spelling, grammar and oral language that are designed to have authentic purposes, encouraging students to become passionate readers, authors and literate community members.
English Core Focus
Empowering Communication
Reading Intervention provides extra one-on-one help whenever needed. Creative writing lets students explore different genres with guidance from mentor texts. Fun Speaking and Listening activities like Show and Tell and Public Speaking boost confidence and communication skills.
For our EAL students get special English support and Multicultural Education Aides ensure everyone feels welcome and connected.
Reading
& Viewing
Building comprehension, stamina, and a love for literature, with regular teacher conferences to set and achieve goals.
Writing
Students explore fun writing genres, creating texts for various audiences, with mentor texts for inspiration.

Reading Intervention gives extra literacy help with fun one-on-one lessons, boosting reading and writing skills!
Speaking
& Listening
Fun activities like Show and Tell, VIP, Daily News and Public Speaking boosts student's oral skills.
